Shane Appleyard, in collaboration with AI, is taking the lead in drafting the initial set of policies for Owned By All.
These foundational policies will serve as a starting point, reflecting OBA’s commitment to transparency, sustainability, equality, and ethical conduct.
In time, these policies will be subject to democratic decision-making, allowing every member of the OBA community to shape and refine them in alignment with our shared values and goals.
It’s a collective effort to establish a governance framework that truly represents and serves the diverse voices within OBA.

At Owned By All (OBA), we are committed to the future of democracy. Our promise is to harness innovative technology to enhance democratic engagement within our community.
This will include democratic tools to give every person informed equal voting power on all aspects of OBA governance. Voters will be able to engage with all policy areas, OBA Executives, shape agendas, gather data, debate and upvote/downvote policy suggestions among other features.
By 2035, we aspire to hold a leadership election that ensures every voice is heard and every member has an equal say in shaping OBA’s path forward. This may seem far away, but we’ve got a long long way to go!
We believe in the power of technology to strengthen democracy, and we are dedicated to delivering on this promise, making OBA a beacon of transparent and inclusive leadership in the years to come.
